Porous Track System
An SBR granular rubber base layer with a coloured EPDM textured spray applied wearing course layer. This is a widely specified porous athletics system suitable for both recreational and competitive use in a range of locations including schools, colleges and clubs.
Sandwich Track System
A non-porous sandwich system track surface combines elements of both the porous and pu systems to give the characteristics of the latter but at a lower cost base.
EPDM granulate is cast over the SBR granular rubber base prior to the application of a polyurethane top coating giving enhanced shock absorbency and life span when compared with a porous track system.
It can also be refurbished through retexturizing the top coating. As such the non-porous sandwich track system represents a very applicable solution for higher standard athletics clubs and stadia.
Full Polyurethane System
The full polyurethane athletics track specification is impervious, with its base layer consisting of a polyurethane elastomer flood coat with cast rubber granulate. A further flood layer of polyurethane with epdm rubber granulate is then applied to the initial layer to complete the system.
The benefit of this specification is that it provides excellent durability and elasticity, and as such is ideal for spikes and elite standard athletics.
