As an FA Charter Standard Club, Leatherhead Youth Football Club has an ethos to promote football to children from 4 to 18, with a foundation of excellent coaching and facilities. Their newly remodelled ground at River Lane certainly supports that ideal and is an outstanding example of a truly high quality community football stadium. S&C Slatter was commissioned to construct a 106m x 70m 3G football turf pitch, certified to deliver FIFA 1 Star performance, together with spectator and car parking facilities. The new build project also featured the provision of floodlighting, fencing and access pathways.
FieldTurf Prestige XM6 50mm 3G football turf was selected as the playing surface, installed over an in-situ bound rubber crumb shockpad and onto an engineered macadam sub-base structure with lateral piped drainage system.
