Founded in 1991 by Stephen & Caroline Slatter, S&C Slatter has grown to become the UK’s Premier sports construction specialists, with dedicated in-house expertise spanning design and planning, construction, finance, civil engineering and maintenance.
Celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2021, the family heritage in sporting excellence spans far further back. View our timeline below to see some of the company’s highlights over the last 30 years!
S&C Slatter partner with Notts Sport, leading supplier of ECB-approved non-turf cricket systems and together become the No. 1 suppliers of cricket facilities in the South of England.
30 years and over 8,000 installations later, the partnership remains just as strong!
For S&C Slatter, taking our expertise in sports pitch construction and realising the demand for multi-usage sports pitches increasing, we explored how to utilise that knowledge, quality and drive for excellence that we bring to our sports pitch construction in the fields of Football, Rugby, and Cricket and build something equally beautiful and capable in the field of hockey. Under David’s leadership, the company constructed their first full-sized sand-dressed hockey pitch, and the results were something spectacular.
At its heart, S&C Slatter is a family business with expertise and knowledge passed down from Father to Son, with the first of Stephen’s sons Philip Slatter joining the company at 16 years old. And we are pleased that this tradition continues with the last of Stephen’s three sons finally joining the family company, Mark Slatter, in 2001.
